Volunteers shadow a foreign lawyer as they provide pro-bono legal consulting
and legal rights resources to community members in rural communities.
Volunteers assist Panamanian lawyers resolve family law cases, and volunteers provide workshops on human rights topics to empower communities.

Mission

To empower rural communities in Panama to overcome the obstacles that often impede the fundamental human right of access to justice through legal counsel and educational workshops.

 

The Brigade

  • Visit families to gather information for pending family law cases. 

  • shadow and assist lawyers as they provide legal advice during legal clinics on a variety of legal issues.

  • Common legal cases include child custody, alimony, divorce, domestic violence, and criminal cases.
